This EP is an exciting journey where Versalife keeps pushing the boundaries of electronic music, while staying true to his roots.Juno Records:Versalife is a master of the deep and one of many aliases from the Dutchman born Boris Bunnik. From dub to techno to the electro he explores here, his grainy sound is impossibly atmospheric. ‘Copepods’ opens up with far-sighted and sustained chords that speak of a future metropolis and ‘Ultraviolet’ then rides a lush broken rhythm and has melodies that glow like fireflies. ‘Counter-illumination’ gets more turbulent with its edgy lines and rubbery reverberating bassline and ‘Vortex Storm’ is like a reflective hall of mirrors with tension and eeriness in the air.

]]>About: I still believe in the power of physical music but also think it’s time for a new creative experiment. Something I feel comfortable with and helps me to connect closer with those who want to learn from my DIY approach. Nothing is better than spreading ideas, inspiration and music feedback to help people progress with their creative struggles. I can coach you in my feedback program (Tier 3) or private sessions (Tier 4). If you appreciate my sample packs and like something extra on top in the form of a monthly Q&A you can simply join Tier 2. It’s all subject to little changes over time and ultimately I will find a model that is sustainable for me as an artist and you as a fan or future student.

Those who want to learn from my creative production process and/or value my sample content and want this on a monthly basis. Creativity is an often overlooked part, especially when you look at the amount of technical music production content that fills the social media channels.. Note the pointless comparisons video’s about compressors and a/b videos of software versus hardware clones… It all misses the point and it’s a true jungle… I believe that with the worst synth you can make the most beautiful track. All you need are a few good tools of course, but more importantly, you still need that creative spark and dose of inspiration. I’m more than happy to assist.
